Christine Willis Designs

Throughout my life I have enjoyed being creative. I first studied art in England, got married and had my two sons. Later after emigrating to Australia and my now three sons were grown, I had time to go back and study art again. After 4 years at Midland TAFE I received my diploma in Art and Design.
I continue to learn by doing workshops and by being part of a small group of friends and also from many of the generous artists willing to share their skills online.

I paint and have sold most of my work over the years, but I get the most joy out of designing smaller items. Paper earrings are my latest endeavour. I use my Geli Plate to create the colour bases and then work back into them by hand with contrasting designs, colours and line work. I love the way certain colours dance and pop. Using templates, I scan across my finished work, which I scan and print, to find just the right colour combinations to use for my earrings.
I also like to use gold leaf, both in my paintings, cards and earrings.
